FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s important to us that all your questions are answered before we take your Good Dog on an adventure. If there’s anything we haven’t covered here, please feel free to contact us.

Are you insured, bonded, and licensed to walk?

Yes, absolutely! Good Dog Walk is fully licensed, insured, and bonded. We take our responsibility seriously.

Are the walks GPS tracked?

Yes! From the moment we pick up your pup to the moment we return it, GPS is tracked and available for your review after the walk.

Do you take dogs off-leash dog?

We do not currently offer off-leash services, to ensure the safety of your pups.

What is your vaccination policy?

To keep the whole pack healthy, we require all dogs to be up-to-date on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHPP), and Bordetella vaccinations. We'll ask you to upload proof of vaccination through our mobile app during registration.

Do you take dogs that aren’t spayed or neutered?

We generally require dogs over 6 months old to be spayed or neutered to participate in group walks or off-leash adventures. However, we can accommodate intact pups for individual solo walks.

Do you take reactive/aggressive dogs or dogs with behavioral issues at all?

We evaluate every dog individually. While we cannot accept aggressive dogs in group settings, we often work with mildly reactive pups on solo walks. Please book your meet and greet to discuss your dog's specific needs.

At which areas are you based?

We proudly serve the Vancouver area, specifically focusing on Downtown Vancouver for now. Feel free to reach out for service area questions.

How do I book a walk?

First you'll need to meet us for a meet & greet. Upon meeting, we'll give you a link to our mobile app where you can book all your walks easily.

How old should my pup be to join the pack?

Puppies can join once they've completed their full round of vaccinations (usually around 16 weeks). We offer specialized puppy visits through our mobile app to help them transition into longer adventure walks as they grow.

Will you continue walks come rain or snow?

Rain or shine, the dogs need their exercise! We walk in all Vancouver weather.

How will you access my home if I’m not there?

Most clients provide a spare key, fob, or smart lock code. We handle all keys with strict security protocols. You'll receive an app notification the moment we arrive and enter your home safely.

Will I be notified upon pick-up and drop-off?

Yes! Our mobile app sends you real-time notifications for pick-up and drop-off. You'll also receive a detailed 'report card' after every walk, including photos of your pup having fun and notes on their behavior.

What happens if my pup gets down and dirty in puddles and snow?

Vancouver can get messy! We always carry towels and do our best to dry paws and bellies before bringing your dog back inside. We appreciate having a designated towel near your door for extra-wet days.

Is water part of the deal?

Absolutely. We bring fresh water on every outing and ensure all dogs are well-hydrated. We'll also make sure their water bowl at home is topped up before we leave your house.

How many dogs do you walk at a time?

To ensure safety and individual attention, we keep our groups small. For on-leash walks, we typically limit it to 6 dogs per walker.

How do payments work?

Payments are handled securely through our mobile app. You can link a card for easy, automated billing. Invoices are generated automatically so you can keep track of your pup's adventures at a glance.

What about your cancellation policy?

We understand plans change! You can cancel or reschedule walks directly through the app. We ask for 24 hours' notice for a full refund.
